Pinnacle and Freeryder
If you have been following us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, you will have seen two boards from our new lineup appearing in the last week – the Freeryder and the Pinnacle.
The Freeryder is a pretty wild symmetrical freeride shape from using our rocker concave, CNC machine and a huge wheelbase adjustability to produce a powerslide/freeride monster!

This thing is definitely one of the crazier shapes we’ve ever done in our 10+ years of shaping, but it really works… we’ve been loving the our prototypes so far.
The Pinnacle is a slightly more “conventional” wide-tailed freeride/DH deck, again with Rocker, CNC wheel wells and an optional tail via an adjustable wheelbase.

Long Wheelbase with no tail for speed…

Short Wheelbase with a tail for ollies!

Think of it as halfway between a Machine and an Antuna… perfect for freeride and sliding, but also capable of some mountains if you’re lucky enough to find yourself in some!
Coming in time for Christmas… watch this space!

CNC Precision Wheel Wells
The next generation of our decks is in production at the woodshop right now, and several of them feature CNC routed wheel wells.

Low ride height and good standing platforms are the holy grail of any longboard deck manufacturer – these new capabilities allow us to shape very long, very deep wheel wells, giving us better wheel clearance and more wheelbase adjustability too.

Watch the boards page for some blacked-out magic… coming soon!

Trade Show Time
We’re in the middle of a pretty hectic week of travelling here at Lush HQ… showing off all our 2012 boards at Bright Trade Show in Berlin last weekend, and getting ready for ISPO in Munich next weekend. And a weekend of snowboarding after that
If you’re coming to ISPO, all our stuff is on the Vandem-MFG stand, A2/122. See you there for a beer!
We’ll have a full run down of events after the show… in the meantime, you can keep up to date with happenings on the Vandem-MFG Twitter account.

Duder
We have another new board in the 2012 lineup to show off… the Duder is our stab at a mid-length cruiser.
Simple, clean, sexy. It’s slightly rockered for super nice board feel, which also has the effect of lifting the tail a little.
It’s not too long – 36.35″ – so you can carry it on the tube or sling it under your desk – but it’s still long enough to be a true “longboard” and way more skateable than these tiny plastic things that are all the rage right now…
If you’re after a longboard for nipping to the pub or down the shops on, here’s one that’s actually had some thought put into it.
While this maybe isn’t what you want for blasting your local hill or chucking giant standies, we think you will be hard pushed to find a cruiser that skates better than this. Don and Giovanni Approved!

Accelerator
Happy New Year! 2012 is going to be mental if you’re into this longboarding thing… there’s already loads of trips and events appearing on the horizon. We’re kicking things off with another new board – the Accelerator!
Looking for a rockered, mini freeride deck? Look no further… We took the Elevator and made it a little smaller, producing a super fun freeride and cruise setup. It’s 9ply maple – you could probably even race it if you really wanted.
Rockered, like many of our other decks this year, we love the board feel and we think you will, too…
Chrome finish artwork by Jethro Haynes….
Concave? Yep… we can do that…
Coming to a skate shop near you in March 2012… available for pre order shortly. More coming soon!

We’ll have more on magical piece of maple real soon… check back later this week!

Antuna
The final protoypes for our Manu Antuna Tribute Deck turned up last week…
This is our first rockered speedboard. It’s a bit shorter than the Vandella, with a further refined shape after many late-night motorway conversations in the van between Darren, Chris, Jesse and Rich.
If you’ve no idea who Manu Antuna is and why we’re doing a tribute model for him, watch this space for an interview…
Hot Heels 2001… thanks to Sven Von Schlachta (another legend!!) for the photo.
